Christine Irvine

My practice as an artist, creative director, designer, and photographer is informed by more than 20 years of work within movements for social and environmental justice. Across media, I seek to explore the depth and complexity of human experience to foster connection, understanding, compassion, and justice.

As a white, queer, disabled, non-binary person from the South, I am especially interested in collaborating with local artists, communities, and arts organizations working toward liberatory and transformative change. These collaborations continually expand my perspective and invite me to explore new ways of seeing and communicating through digital art and illustration, photography, oil and acrylic painting, and mixed media. Through public-facing work, I hope to contribute to a creative landscape that celebrates the extraordinary cultural and biological diversity of the Triangle.
