I am an artist/illustrator in NC working in multiple mediums including charcoal, acrylic, oil, pastel and linoprint. My works span imaginative realism, surrealism and narrative art grounded in human feeling, and draw from books, stories, real life and nature.
My relationship to my artworks is fully bound up in the doing — the joy and flow of painting, living in the emotions as I make those intentional choices in color, form, and concept to express my ideas and experiences. Once a piece is complete, I want it to live out in the world as a means of self-expression and connection for others. This is why part of my process is in providing accessible options to my artworks for people to fold into their own personal stories.
